Yes, indeed, it has been a very loooonnnnngggggggg day! However, the Jones family spirit survives! Weary, yes! Humbled, yes! But we shall press on, and as pledged, we depart before midnight!
True, we had some last minute drama as Zoe smashed her finger in the door just prior to our departure, but she is tough, and we march on! Palmer, or perhaps Eagle River....get ready!

I thought about stopping by when I went to pick up Dad and Carrie Lynn at midnight and see if you'd gone. I'm sorry Zoe smashed her finger - again! Since you've left town, the sun has started to shine a bit brighter already. Thanks for letting us have a nice summer here while you travel in the heat. :)
And thanks for keeping my kids for over 24 hours on the day you were trying to leave! We miss you already. Take care, have fun, and keep posting.
Get out of Alaska so our weather will improve! I can't even put seed in the ground because it is too flipping cold and windy where I live. We did manage to drive out to Wasilla to buy 2 big layers. Yep, we are in the chicken egg business now. Makenna adores them and can watch them hop, peck, and eat all day long. They've each dropped one egg since we got them yesterday. That's a good sign! More later. Drive safely!
