Yesterday was another adventure. We pulled into Watson Lake to look at Signpost Village. Bobby reminded me that we had left a sign way back in 1990 just after we were married and on our way to Alaska. Of course, I took this as a challenge and spent about an hour looking for it before I gave up. We decided we needed to leave our mark again, however! Zoe and I designed a sign, and we posted it where we hope we can find it more easily next time (we took some video to mark the spot). This was ironic timing because today (May 29) is our 18th anniversary, and we've loved celebrating it with the kids. (Kendra, thanks for the anniversary wishes!) My, how time flies!
We've also taking time out of our driving for some beautiful hikes so that we don't spend every moment sitting! Last night we visited the hot springs--that was just wonderful as well.
We may not get connected again until we hit Seattle, but we'll cruise the neighborhoods in hopes of a signal... Right now we're thinking that will be Sunday late afternoon or so.
In the meantime, we're thinking of you all and missing you!

Looks like you've been having fun. Keep taking those pictures! My friend Karin came home last night to find two bears playing in her yard with her dog - quite an Alaskan adventure. The Peccis are all sick, and were during Carrie Lynn's visit. :( But the weather was beautiful all week - thanks for leaving - and we'll survive. We borrowed your Subaru b/c Chris's car broke down. Your house looks good, and I think they've been enjoying themselves! That's all from here. Take care of yourselves - and get my nephew some drumsticks!
Hi all, I know you all are having a blast. by the way, Happy Anniversary D & B. What a mile stone, 18yrs.
Zach, I have some bigger plastic spoons to drum with that I'll give you when you get here. (ha ha ha)
Zoe, you look so comfortable napping on that couch.
Love ya all bunches, Tracy
Darla - hate to talk business, but since you're due into civilization tonight or tomorrow - and your father doesn't know what a blog is and can't read one, much less post a message for you - I thought I'd tell you to call Dad. He needs to talk to you about the house, though I think everything is ok. Don't panic, just call.
Have fun! --Kendra
PS - the people in your house are keeping it very clean, but they're having fun. Liquor bottles abound, and they've been making vodka snowcones! Ahhhh, to be young with no kids again! :)
Sorry to hear you guys have been sick, but glad you were able to make use of the car! Thanks also for the house update! Vodka snowcones, huh?
Let's chat again by phone soon. Sorry you're having a rough patch...
Tracy, thanks for the good wishes-it was nice to celebrate this one with the kids!
We still haven't found new drumsticks yet, but I did find new wooden spoons!
Love you!
