Although we had a fabulous time in Canada, we were happy to cross back
into the United States late Sunday afternoon.
On Monday we toured the Boeing plant in Everett, WA-truly amazing!
It's the world's biggest building by volume, and they said that all of
Disneyland would fit inside. We saw several planes being built-very
cool!
We also had the chance to meet Jason for lunch and meet his new puppy,
Cooper.
That night we pressed on to Oregon but got hopelessly lost in search
of a campground. We finally spent the night in a grocery store parking
lot, but we were back on track Tuesday, traveling through the Columbia
River Gorge countryside. Spectacular drive-those pics to be posted
later as well! The river is quite high and near flood stage as you may
have seen on the news.
Speaking of news-yesterday was the first we'd heard in over a week
since we started our journey- it sort of felt like the world had
stopped turning for a bit!
Today we are surprising the kids with a scenic train trip- perhaps
that explains my 3:00 am wake up (which also explains this 5:50 am
posting)...
At least I used the time wisely and learned how to post much more
easily from my iPhone. Now I can post more often without having to
find a signal!
One more happy bit of news-our duplex sale was final yesterday! Woo
Hoo! Thanks to Dad for signing in our absence!
More soon!
