After we left Vegas, we drove to Lake Meade. We were surprised that it was still incredibly hot (around 107 the day we were there), and since the water was surprisingly cold, we decided to move on. We drove over the Hoover Dam twice after having to allow the motorhome to be searched. They have increased security quite a bit since 9/11, and they are now building an incredible new bridge which will divert traffic permanently.
